BACKGROUND:
Dennis
O. Reiter
is a graduate of the University of Houston and the University
of Pittsburgh School of Law. After serving two years as Law
Clerk and Court Administrator for the Court of Common Pleas
of Centre County, he joined the firm in 1976. Since that time,
he has concentrated his practice in the areas of real estate,
estates, banking and municipal law. Mr. Reiter has been involved
in thousands of real estate transactions, including residential
and commercial settlements, utilizing conventional, FHA, VA,
FSB, SBA, IDA and other types of loan vehicles; land development,
subdivision and zoning matters; preparation of sale, lease
and financing documents; tax deferred exchanges, and numerous
other real estate related transactions. He is also a title
insurance agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance
Co. and First American Title Insurance Co. Mr. Reiter represents
numerous business entities having offices, or doing business,
in central Pennsylvania, having prepared shareholder, partnership
and buy/sell agreements, as well as acquisition and financing
documents. He has represented both his individual and business
clients before municipal bodies and boards, licensing bureaus
and other administrative agencies. Additionally, he has served
as solicitor to a number of municipalities and municipal boards.
He also serves his individual clients in the areas of will
preparation, trust creation, and estate planning and administration
counseling.
He is an active member of the Centre County and Pennsylvania
Bar Associations. He has served as an officer and a member
of the Board of Governors of his local association. At the
state level, he is a member of the Corporate, Banking and
Business Law Section, the Municipal Law Section, the Real
Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Tax Law Section
of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has served in the
PBA House of Delegates and as Zone 11 Governor. Currently,
he is a member of the PBA Planning Committee, the PBA/PBI
Relationship Committee, and as Treasurer of the PBA, chairs
its Finance Committee.
